Security Policy
The security of www.mobilephoneinsurnace2u.co.uk
is incredibly tight. In fact, it is state of the art and at the maximum
possible levels with today's technology.
As you consider the security of 2U below, remember 2 things
- The parent company of 2U, Mobile Phone World Ltd, has been trading for
over 10 years. This is only due to sound business practices, of which
tight security is one.
- In the event of a fraudulent transaction, it is the retailer (i.e. 2U)
who loses out , not you, the customer. The reason for this is because
the cardholder will invariably be given back their money once the
transaction is reported as fraudulent. This means the money is taken back
from the retailer, even if this is after they have sent the product
to the fraudster. This would obviously cost the retailer.
To avoid this, www.mobilephoneinsurnace2u.co.uk
has the following security measures in place.
- SSL - Secure Socket Layer server. This means that your details are
fully encrypted to protect them.
- Verisign security certificate. Verisign is a huge, internationally
recognised security kite mark, to show that the security of 2U is the best
it can be.
- RSA security certificate. RSA is again an internationally
recognised security kite mark. 2U has security certificates from both
Verisign AND RSA, to absolutely show that your details are secure and that
we take your security VERY seriously.
- Integrated password protected database. All personal information we
hold on you is stored in secure password protected databases, that only
high-level staff members have access to (we do not hold card details). These
passwords are changed regularly.
- Barclaycard ePDQ. 2U's parent company uses Barclays Bank's
electronic payment system, and has for the past 7 years. 2U now uses
Barclays Bank's ePDQ intenet payment system, because it offers maximum
security both for 2U and for you the customer. Barclaycard ePDQ uses its own
SSL, which means 2U never holds your payment card details. This is only held
by Barclays, who have a high reputation for security. The ePDQ system has
great security because of the credit checking it offers. It checks the card
for 3 'green-lights', and only then is your card debited. The 3
'green-lights' are
- The card is authorised to take payment (ie. not reported lost
or stolen, there is money on the account)
- The CVV2 number on the reverse of the card is correct
- The cardholder's address is correct as given, compared to that
stored with the card provider.
If your card is being used fraudulently, and these 'green-lights are not
triggered, the transaction will fail, which protects you from someone else
using your card fraudulently. The address checking particularly offers you
great security against anyone using your card fraudulently - they would not
know your address. PLUS, 2U will only deliver to the registered cardholders
address, so you would still recieve the goods! In the incredibly unlikely
event of this happening, you would simply return the goods for a full
refund.
- Which? WebTrader security and customer care policy. Which? is the
national Consumers Association watchdog. Their Which? WebTrader kitemark is
given only after rigorous testing of our security and customer care
practices.
- 2U's parent company, Mobile Phone World Ltd is a member of the mobile
phone industry group, IDG, The Independent Dealers Group, which is a
part of the FCS, The Federation of Communication Services

As you can see, 2U is covered by a formidable security system and security
policy. You can purchase in peace, safe in the knowledge that your
personal and financial details are safe and secure.
